Introduction To Meditation: A Month Long Virtual Series

  • Want to turn off the commentary in your mind?
  • Lost in endless to do lists?
  • Want to really be with your family, kids and friends?
  • Tried everything and yet still feel unsettled?

Join this 5-week series for a safe and welcoming place to explore non-judgmental moment-to-moment awareness in this beginner’s mindfulness meditation series.

Life can be hectic and stressful. Life can be joyous and filled with adventure.

During this beginners class you will explore mindfulness meditation and meeting life where you are: happy, sad, grateful, anxious or overwhelmed. Mindfulness, a practice to reduce stress and allow us to live fully in the present, can assist in clarity of mind, focus and the non-judgmental observation of experience as it unfolds in each moment. Stress reduction, a sense of calm and peace, and increased compassion for self and others are just some of the other benefits of mindfulness meditation.

You will learn about:

  • Being Right Where You Are
  • Storytelling Minds
  • Cultivating Kindness
  • Being With Things Like They Are
  • How To Move Forward

Meet the Instructor

Susan Bednarick’s journey as a contemplative practitioner started in college with Transcendental Meditation and yoga classes and was then placed on pause as she started a family and career. This changed in 2004, during a season of hardship and suffering when God led her to training in martial arts. Here she learned about discipline, being a student, the importance of personal practice and the mind/body connection. Then in 2017 with career, family and menopause in full swing, she found formal meditation practices were the only thing that gave her the space to breath, to safely heal, to find love and choice in the smallest of things and to deeply trust in her faith. Today she brings together years of training in yoga, meditation and martial arts to create a spiritual space for you to nurture, strengthen and celebrate that unique Light in your life.
