NC Native Plant Diversity and Guided Hike
Observe the beauty of nature and connect with restorative qualities of being in nature.
Join us at Well of Mercy with native plant expert, Kevin Campbell, as he shares information on plant diversity in North Carolina which is home to more than 3,900 native plant species, making it one of the most diverse states for flora in the Southeast. These native species are not just beautiful—they are a vital source of food and shelter for birds and pollinators. North Carolina is very unique among our 50 states despite being 28th in geographic size.
Well of Mercy is home to an abundant life of native plants. That’s something worth celebrating and learning more about.
This day in nature will include a walk about on the beautiful Well of Mercy land. Learn how connecting with, and caring for, the land, the plants and wildlife can be a meditative endeavor—and how we can act in ways which contribute to a sustainable future for the Earth.
