Nourishing Practices: Coming Home to Ourselves through the Intelligence of our Body, Heart, and Mind

“Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.”  – Rumi

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.– Matthew 22:37

  • What if there is nothing to “achieve” in our spiritual walk?
  • Jesus modeled a path of “kenosis” self-emptying. What does this really mean for our lives and spiritual formation?
  • What does Jesus mean when he says, “The Kingdom of God is within” and what are the profound implications of this in our experience?
  • How can incarnation, inhabiting our body and experiencing it as sacred be a gateway to the intelligence of our heart?
  • What happens as we relax inwardly and become more present in body, heart, and mind?

This half day workshop, through teaching and experiential practices invites you to explore nourishing spiritual  practices that help open to the wisdom of your body, heart, and  mind.  From across time and history, perennial wisdom speaks to the importance of practices to help humans grow beyond the ego self  or what Christian mystic Thomas Merton called the “false self.”

Enneagram theory offers us deep insight into why we struggle to access the intelligence of our body, heart, and mind and why we  often live imbalanced within these centers. Through the innocence of the natural course of our childhood development and cultural  conditioning these centers become imbalanced, often distorting  our perception and experience of reality.

This workshop provides an introductory understanding of how these centers function when in harmony and what our experience is  like when we are out of alignment.

You will come away with nourishing practices for your being so that you may feel more grounded in your body, alive in your

hearts, spacious in your minds, and attuned to the deep care of the world in which we live.

The ripening of mature spiritual practices as Rumi so wisely says, invites us to see that love is our greatest reality.
